I am trying to stay positive, but I am having difficulty enjoying the reading of poetry. Does anybody else feel this way? How many times should you read a poem, or should have to?
Hi, Rob. I don't generally read poetry for fun. I prefer novels where I can escape into the story. But I do like reading poetry to analyze it. The visual format and sound elements make it kind of like a puzzle to figure out. Nancy
I agree! When reading some of the poems I am like "HUH?" I do find that reading the poems out loud does help a little! It does take some patience that is for sure!
I'm with you. Not fun, definitely not easy. It is pretty interesting though how some make more and more sense each time through (and some never do!) It helps if you have a very good dictionary nearby, also. :)
I am a forty-five year old freshman who worked as a custodian for our local school district for twenty years. I quit and enrolled at EOU where I was accepted in the spring of 09. I soon after got a job with EOU and work as a custodian in the residence halls. whew what a trip.
